How to Reset Your Soulmask Server

Are you ready to give your Soulmask server a fresh start? Whether you're looking to clear out old files, create a new world, or fix some lingering issues, resetting your game server can be the perfect solution. This guide will walk you through the entire process using the Nodecraft Pro Panel. We’ll cover everything from creating backups and resetting your server settings to completely resetting your entire Soulmask dedicated server, ensuring you’re prepared for your next great Soulmask adventure!

Note: We recommend always stopping your Soulmask server before making any edits or configuration changes.

Create a Backup (Optional)

Though optional, creating a backup of your server is highly recommended. It may be something you’ll give yourself a pat on the back for doing if you end up regretting deleting your server world, a config file you wanted to keep, or the game server entirely.

  1. Log into your Nodecraft Pro Panel for your Soulmask server.

  2. Navigate to the Backups tab on the left-hand menu.

  3. Click Create Backup and wait for the process to finish before proceeding. Backup time depends on your dedicated server size, so take a moment to relax while it completes!

Resetting Your Soulmask Server

Delete the World and Game Files

  1. Open the Nodecraft Pro Panel for your Soulmask game server.

  2. Navigate to the Server Files tab. This allows you to view and manage all of your Soulmask game server's files.

  3. Navigate to this server directory:  /WS/Saved/Worlds/Dedicated/Level01_Main

  4. Delete the world.db file. This will remove all of your current save game progress and player data.

Note: If you have initbackup or -backupinterval set in your server’s startup arguments, you may see additional .db files. You can download or delete those as well.

Delete Server Configuration (Optional)

  1. Navigate to the following directory: /WS/Saved/GameplaySettings

  2. Delete the GameXishu.json file. A default config file will regenerate automatically when the server restarts.
