How Do I Share my Lite Server Using the Share Link

Sharing your Nodecraft Lite Server with friends is easy and secure, thanks to the built-in Share Link feature and our Discord Integration. This guide will explain how to set up and use the Share Link so you can invite others to turn on and join your server without giving them access to sensitive server settings.

The Share Link is a unique, secure URL that allows others to remotely start your Nodecraft Lite Server. It functions similarly to a Discord invite link and ensures you can give your friends access to start the server when you are away.

To generate your Share Link, follow the steps below from your server’s Dashboard.

  1. Navigate to your Nodecraft dashboard.

  2. Locate your Lite server and click Manage.

  3. Click Lite Settings in the menu on the left under Administration.

For added security, Nodecraft Lite Servers default to requiring a password to turn the server on using the Share Link. While a password is randomly generated by default, you can turn it off or customize it for ease of use.

  1. Navigate to the Lite Settings option on the left-hand side of your servers Control Panel.

  2. Choose "Link + Password" in the "Who can wake your server" section if not already chosen.

  3. In the Share Password section, enter your desired password into the provided field.

  4. Save your changes.

  5. Anyone using your Share Link will now need to enter the password before starting the server.

After regenerating it, send the new link to anyone who should still be able to wake the server.

Share Through Discord

You can also let your community wake the server through Nodecraft's Discord integration.

Discord sharing uses the same Lite system but allows players to check the server status and start it without leaving Discord.
