How to Disable Mods on Your Minecraft Server

Sometimes, Minecraft mods don’t work well together, or sometimes a mod might break with a new version of the game. Maybe you only want a mod active during a special event but inactive otherwise. Whatever the reason, disabling a mod in Minecraft is quick and easy. We’ll show you how!

Note: Be sure that your Minecraft server is fully stopped before making any configuration changes or setting updates!

Using the Control Panel

  1. Navigate to your Nodecraft Dashboard.

  2. Click the Panel button for your Minecraft server.

  3. Locate and click Server Files in the menu on the left side.

  4. Double click on the mods folder.

  5. Locate the mod you want to disable and tick the box to select it.

  6. Click the Rename button and add .disabled to the end of the file name.

  7. Click the Save button.

Conclusion

You have now successfully disabled a mod! This will allow you to keep it on the server if you wish to enable it again at a later time but will prevent the server from trying to load it. Good luck with your modding!
