How to Disable or Enable NPC Spawning

We are going to go over the process of disabling or enabling NPC spawning on your Hytale server. Disabling NPCs can be useful for optimizing the server as less RAM would be used by the additional entities or if you simply want a survival experience but don’t care for NPCs. 

Changing the day and/or night cycle

1. Open your Dashboard.

2. Locate your Hytale server and click on the Panel button.

3. Once on your panel, Stop the server using the button in the upper left corner of the panel before proceeding. 

4. Once the server is stopped, click on Game Settings on the left-hand sidebar of the panel.

5. Once on the settings page you will want to click on the world tab.

   

6. On the world tab you will see your worlds. Find the Current World, Hover over it and select settings.

   

7. Once on the settings page for the world, about half down the page you will see Simulation Settings.

8. To disable NPC spawning toggle the NPC Spawning off, or back up to enable NPC Spawning. 

   

9. Once set, click Save Changes at the bottom of the page then start your server.
