How to Enable & Disable The Nether on Your Minecraft Server

This guide will walk you through the process enabling or disabling The Nether on your server. This process applies to both vanilla or plugin based servers. 

Note: Be sure that your Minecraft server is fully shut down before proceeding!

Using the Control Panel

1. Open your Nodecraft Dashboard

2. Click on Panel.

   Note: If you are on a Lite server you may need to wake it first before the panel option is available. 

3. Locate the Game Settings section located on your sidebar.

4. Once on the Game Settings page, click on the Gamemode tab.

5. Near the bottom of the page you will see the Allow Nether option to toggle The Nether on or off. 

6. Once your change has been made click the Submit button. 

Using the server.properties File

1. Open your Nodecraft Dashboard

2. Click on Panel.

   Note: If you are on a Lite server you may need to wake it first before the panel option is available.

3. Once on your panel, locate the Server Files section located on your sidebar.

4. Once on the Server Files page, look in the larger box on the right-hand side of your screen and locate the server.properties file. Click on the file to select it then click Edit in the upper left corner of the server file section. 

5. Once the file is open in the editor, find the line “allow-nether=true”. If you want to disable the nether, change “true” to “false”. Likewise to enable it again change “false” to “true”

6. Click the green Save Changes button near the upper right side of your screen. 

Once you have completed changes you can start your server. You have now Enabled/DIsabled The Nether on your server.
