How To Pregenerate a World on a Hytale Server
Today we are going to go over world pregeneration. One of the largest resource loads that can cause lag on a server is world generation. To mitigate this, you can have the server pregenerate the world which in turn means the server won't need as many resources to load the world as players are exploring.
Pregenerating a World
Open your Dashboard.
Locate your Hytale server and click on the Panel button.
Click on Game Settings.
On the Game Settings page click on Worlds.
Once on the Worlds Manager, find the world you want to pregenerate and click on Settings.
Once on the settings page for the world, scroll down till you see World Pregeneration.
You can set the limit to your desired amount up to 256 (512x512). Once set, click Save Changes.
Start your server. After a few minutes depending on the size of region you are wanting pregenerated the process should be completed.
Conclusion
You have now pregenerated your world. With a pregenerated world you should see less server load and in some cases more responsiveness when exploring especially in pregenerated regions of your world.
