How to Upload Prefabs to a Hytale Server
Hytale servers support custom prefabs, allowing operators to upload and place prebuilt structures directly into the world. Prefabs can be your own creations or files downloaded from popular modding sites like CurseForge. Once installed, these structures can be spawned instantly using Creative Tools, making it easy to place complex builds, terrain pieces, or decorative structures without manual construction.
This is a great option for players building bases, cities, or themed areas across Hytale’s many biomes and zones.
Requirements
You must have Operator (OP) access on the server to spawn prefabs.
Uploading a Prefab to Your Server
Download the prefab you want to use from a modding site such as CurseForge.
Navigate to your Nodecraft Dashboard.
Click the Panel button for your Hytale server.
Stop your server.
Locate and click Server Files in the menu on the left side.
Open the prefabs folder.
If you do not have a prefabs folder:
Click the New Folder button.
Name the folder prefabs and click Create.
Upload the prefab .zip file to this folder by dragging-and-dropping or the Upload button.
Check the box next to the uploaded file and click UnZip at the top.
Note: Unzipped prefab files must end with .prefab.json to appear in-game.
Start the server.
Spawning the Prefab In-Game
Launch Hytale.
Join your server.
To place a prefab structure, you will need the Paste tool. This can be given to yourself in Creative Mode.

With the Paste tool in hand, press E to open the Prefab List.
Click Assets at the top, then choose Server to view server-side prefab files.
Select the prefab you uploaded. This will load it to the Paste tool.
Using the visualization in-game, place the prefab where you want it, then right-click to permanently place the structure. You can fine tune the placement using the tools on the left.

Conclusion
Prefab placement makes large builds fast and repeatable, especially for servers focused on creative projects or shared worlds. As long as the prefab files are correctly named and placed in the prefabs folder, they will be available every time the server starts.
