How to Edit Backpack Size on a Hytale Server

In this guide we are going to cover how you can change the backpack size for a player on your Hytale server. This can be used if you want to be able to carry more resources or less. Unlike other settings this one is per player and not global which means the only way for players to use this would be with them having Admin/OP status or be in a group with the proper permissions.

Permissions Requirements

There are two permissions that players will need to have access to if they do not have Admin/OP status

• Hytale.system.command.inventory.backpack
  Provides access to the the ability set the Backpack size

• Hytale.system.command.inventory
  Provides access to the Inventory command

Setting The Backpack Size

1. Open Hytale and join your server.

2. Once connected to your server, open your chat/command.

3. Run the command: /inventory backpack --size=(Desired size).

   

Note: While there is no limit to the size of the backpack, setting it above 54 could affect visibility of the backpack with the default scaling of the user interface.
