How to Upload Singleplayer Player Data to Your Hytale Server
So, you’ve been playing Hytale in singleplayer and want to bring that progress over to your server. Totally fair. Whether it’s your character data, inventory, or world progress, importing your singleplayer player data lets you pick up right where you left off, just with friends this time.
This guide walks you through how to safely move your singleplayer player data into your Hytale server, so everything loads correctly when you join.
Finding Your Singleplayer Player Data
Open Hytale.
Click Worlds.
Right-click the world you want to upload to your server and choose Open Folder.Â
Navigate to /universe/players
Inside this folder you will find a JSON file named with your Hytale UUID. This file contains all of your player data.
Uploading the File Using the Control Panel
Navigate to your Nodecraft Dashboard.
Click the Panel button for your Hytale server.
Stop your server.
Locate and click Server Files in the menu on the left side.
Navigate to /universe/players
Delete the file with the name that matches the one you’re wanting to upload.
Drag the file from your computer into your panel to upload it.
Start your server.
Conclusion
You’ve now successfully imported your singleplayer player data into your Hytale server. The next time you join, your character should load in with the same progress you had offline, making the transition to multiplayer nice and seamless.
If something doesn’t look quite right, double-check the files you uploaded and make sure the server was fully restarted after the changes. And as always, if you get stuck, our support team is happy to help you get things sorted.
