How to Enable and Use the Whitelist on Your Hytale Server

Today we are going to go over how to manage the whitelist on your server including adding and removing players from it. A whitelist is a simple yet effective method of access control for your server whether it's just a personal server for friends of family or a public server you don't want players joining yet. This process is very easy using just the console.

Enabling/Disabling the Whitelist

1. Open your dashboard

2. Locate your Hytale server and click on the panel button

3. Once on your panel click on the console tab on the left-hand sidebar

4. In the console type whitelist enable to enable the whitelist. You can also type whitelist disable to disable the whitelist. 

If you are an admin on the server, these commands can also be executed from in-game. To do so, simply press / on your keyboard which will open the command field/chat. You can also use the enter key to open chat and simply add a / before your command. 

The whitelist has now been enabled. At this point any operator/admin will be able to join regardless of if they are on the list along with players that are already on the list. 

Adding and Removing Players From the Whitelist.

1. Open your dashboard

2. Locate your Hytale server and click on the panel button

3. Once on your panel click on the console tab on the left-hand sidebar.

4. Once on the console you can type whitelist add (username) to add someone to the whitelist. To remove a player from the list type whitelist remove (username). 

Once a player is added from the whitelist they will be able to join normally.
