How to Change the Daytime and Nighttime Duration

In this guide we’ll be covering how you can change the day and night cycle duration on your Hytale server. This can be useful if you’d prefer to play in longer daylight hours or the other way around and have shorter days and longer nights. 

Changing the Day and/or Night Cycle

1. Open your Dashboard.

2. Locate your Hytale server and click on the Panel button.

3. Once on your panel, Stop the server using the button in the upper left corner of the panel before proceeding. 

4. Once the server is stopped, click on Game Settings on the left-hand sidebar of the panel.

5. Once on the settings page you will want to click on the World tab.

   

6. On the World tab you will see your worlds. Find the Current World, Hover over it and select settings.

   

7. Once on the settings page for the world, about half down the page you will see Day/Night Cycle.

8. The default for day is 600 seconds, and night is 300 seconds. At this point you can set the values to whatever you’d like. 

9. Once set, click Save Changes at the bottom of the page then start your server.
