Server logs are not the most glamorous part of running a Minecraft server, but they are the true detectives behind the scenes. When something goes wrong, the logs are usually the first ones to rat out the problem. Whether you are dealing with crashes, errors, or a mystery nobody asked for, knowing where to find your logs can save a lot of time. This guide will walk you through exactly where your server keeps its logs and crash reports so you can track down issues without feeling like you are digging through a haystack looking for a very upset needle.

  1. Navigate to your Nodecraft Dashboard.

  2. Click the Panel button for your Minecraft server.

  3. Locate and click Server Files in the menu on the left side.

  4. This will open your server files, where the logs and crash reports are stored.

  • Logs are stored in the logs folder.

    • Note: This folder will be generated after the first time your server starts.

  • Crash reports are stored in the crash-reports folder.

    • Note: This folder will be generated after the first time your server crashes.

Once you know where your logs and crash reports live, troubleshooting becomes a lot easier. The next time your server decides to stop cooperating, you will have everything you need to figure out what actually happened instead of guessing wildly. Think of your logs as your server’s personal diary. They may not be thrilling reading, but they always tell the truth. And if you ever run into something strange, you can send those logs our way so we can help you get things running smoothly again.
