Why is My Palworld Server Not Showing Up In-Game?

When your Palworld server does not show up it could be for a few different reasons such as your server having only recently started, server not yet fully started or if you are on a console crossplay is not configured.

Wait Time

On a server that has just been started, it can take some time to show on the server list even if your server can be joined with the direct connection option on supported platforms.  It usually only takes 5 to 10 minutes after a completed start up to show in the server list. 

Check Your Servers Console

If you started your server over 10 minutes ago and can’t find it on the list or join with direct connect on supported platforms your server may be hung up in the startup process. Check your console to ensure your server has fully started which should be indicated by a message that says Running Palworld dedicated server on :<server port>. If you don’t see a similar message your server may still be started or has gotten stuck. If you recently made any changes, they could be the reason for a failed start. 

Crossplay Settings

For console users to see your server you need to have crossplay enabled in your server settings. If you cannot join your server on console but steam users are able to see and join the server, double check your settings to ensure crossplay is enabled. 

Server Browser Showing No Results

If you are unable to join or see any servers on the server browser that could indicate a connection issue with the device that you are using to play Palworld. You will want to check your internet connection and ensure no firewalls or settings may be blocking access.

Conclusion

While there are many different reasons your server may not be visible to you, they are often easily corrected by waiting a few minutes, checking the status or settings. If you recently made any changes to your server before the issue started it’s a good idea to try and revert said change and see if your server returns to working normally.
