In this guide we will show you how you can enable crossplay on your Valheim server. Enabling crossplay on your server will allow not only steam players to join but players that own the game on Xbox or are using Xbox game pass. 

Enabling Crossplay

  1. Open your Dashboard

  2. Locate your Valheim server and click on the Panel button. 

  3. Once on your panel, click on Game settings.

  4. Once on your game setting page, make sure you are on the Basic tab.

  5. Scroll down till you see the option for Crossplay and enable it.

  6. Once enabled, click on Submit.

  7. Start your server.  

  8. Return to your console and locate the Join code that will be generated once the server is fully started. You will share that code with Xbox/Gamepass players to join with.

Conclusion

You now have crossplay enabled on your Valheim server. Players that are using either an Xbox or gamepass versions of the game can now join using the generated join code.
