How to Get Gunpowder in Windrose

In this guide we are going to cover how you can obtain gunpowder on Windrose. When you start your game, you do start with a gun but it can’t be used without gunpowder. There are a few different ways that you can obtain some either early in the game or when you are later in the game. 

Finding Gunpowder

In early game you will not be able to craft any gunpowder and the only way to get some would be to find it. There is no one spot to find gunpowder with the random loot system. It’s recommended you visit POIs and looting crates, containers and chests. Once you can sail around you can also loot Blackbeard Pirate Camps which have a guaranteed drop.

How to Craft Gunpowder

Later in the game you will be able to craft gunpowder. To craft it you will need to progress to have access to the millstone. You can reach that milestone by clearing the Coastal Jungle then going to the Foothills of the world which will have needed resources such as corn (for milestone parts) and iron for a pickaxe which is needed to mine sulfur. Once you have the millstone you will be able to craft gunpowder using Ash (obtained by burning wood in a kiln) and Sulfur (mined with an iron pickaxe in the Coastal Jungle and/or Foothills.
