Palworld 1.0 expanded Work Suitability from its old five-level ceiling to a maximum of Level 10. That gives Pals considerably more room to improve and gives endgame bases some properly ridiculous production potential.

Level 10 is not something most Pals have when caught. You will usually need to combine a naturally talented Pal with condensation, Applied Technique books, passive skills, or base-wide Partner Skill bonuses.

What Does Work Suitability Mean?

Work Suitability determines which jobs a Pal can perform and how efficiently it completes them. These jobs include:

  • Kindling

  • Watering

  • Planting

  • Generating Electricity

  • Handiwork

  • Gathering

  • Lumbering

  • Mining

  • Medicine Production

  • Cooling

  • Transporting

  • Farming

A higher level generally means the Pal completes suitable tasks faster. Higher suitability levels are also needed for some advanced Pal Labor Research projects.

What Changed With Palworld 1.0?

Palworld 1.0 rebalanced the Work Suitability values of every Pal and increased the maximum level to 10. Some powerful endgame Pals now begin with suitability levels as high as Level 8, but reaching the cap usually requires additional upgrades.

Condensation was also changed. Each time a Pal ranks up, one of its existing Work Suitability levels increases. Reaching the maximum rank increases all of that Pal’s available Work Suitabilities.

Thankfully, fully condensing a Pal now requires 48 Pals instead of 116. The Pal Essence Condenser is still hungry, but it has apparently started watching its portions.

How to Reach Work Suitability Level 10

There are several ways to increase a Pal’s Work Suitability.

Start With a High-Level Worker

Choose a Pal that already has a high natural level in the job you need. Raising a Level 7 or Level 8 worker to Level 10 requires far fewer resources than attempting to turn a Level 1 Pal into an industrial legend.

Condense the Pal

Use the Pal Essence Condenser to increase the Pal’s rank. Each rank now improves one of the Pal’s existing Work Suitabilities, while reaching the maximum rank increases them all.

Condensation bonuses only apply to the individual Pal you upgrade. Other Pals of the same species remain unchanged.

Use Applied Technique Books

Applied Technique books permanently increase a specific Work Suitability by one level. The Pal must already have that suitability, so a Mining book cannot teach Mining to a Pal that has no Mining ability.

These books can be used to close the remaining gap after condensation. Palworld 1.0 also made Applied Technique items easier to obtain and introduced an Applied Ranching Handbook I for Farming suitability.

Use Passive and Partner Skills

Certain passive skills can directly increase suitability. For example:

  • Farmhand: Farming Work Suitability +1

  • Ranch Master: Farming Work Suitability +2

Some Partner Skills provide base-wide bonuses instead. Cinnamoth can increase Farming by one level for other Pals at the base, while Ribbuny can increase Handiwork by one level.

These base-wide bonuses do not stack with additional copies of the same Pal. Filling your base with Ribbunys will produce plenty of rabbits, but not infinite Handiwork.

How Much Faster Is Level 10?

The increase from Level 5 to Level 10 is much larger than the numbers make it appear. Work Suitability does not scale evenly from one level to the next.

For example, Palworld’s internal work values increase like this:

  • Handiwork, Kindling, and Medicine Production increase from 400 at Level 5 to 5,400 at Level 10.

  • Planting, Watering, Lumbering, and Mining increase from 190 at Level 5 to 1,000 at Level 10.

  • Generating Electricity increases from 750 at Level 5 to 4,000 at Level 10.

These values do not translate directly into exact crafting times. Passive skills, Pal Labor Research, food, SAN, facility bonuses, animations, and the Pal’s ability to navigate your base can all affect real production.

A Level 10 Pal cannot save your factory if it spends half the day stuck behind a staircase.

Work Suitability Level vs. Work Speed

Work Suitability and Work Speed are separate stats.

Work Suitability Level provides the Pal’s base effectiveness for that job. Work Speed bonuses then improve how quickly the Pal works. Passives such as Artisan, Remarkable Craftsmanship, Serious, and Work Slave increase Work Speed without changing the displayed suitability level.

For the strongest possible worker, aim for both:

  1. Reach Level 10 in the required Work Suitability.

  2. Add strong Work Speed passive skills.

  3. Complete the related Pal Labor Research.

  4. Keep the Pal fed, sane, and able to reach its workstation.

Can Every Pal Reach Work Suitability Level 10?

A Pal can only improve jobs it already possesses. Applied Technique books and condensation cannot give it a completely new Work Suitability.

It is technically possible to raise lower-level workers much further than before, but doing so may require several rare books. Starting with a specialized Pal that already has a high natural level is usually much easier.

Still, the new system means your favorite worker does not have to be fired simply because a newer Pal showed up with a better résumé.

Is Work Suitability Level 10 Necessary?

Level 10 is an endgame optimization goal, not a requirement for every base. Lower-level Pals remain perfectly usable for early and midgame production.

You will benefit most from Level 10 workers when processing large material orders, powering advanced bases, completing high-tier research, or producing enough ammunition to make your local Syndicate branch deeply uncomfortable.

Conclusion

Work Suitability Level 10 is Palworld 1.0’s new maximum for base workers. You can reach it by starting with a naturally skilled Pal and combining condensation, Applied Technique books, passive skills, and base-wide Partner Skill bonuses.

It takes some investment, but the result is a Pal capable of turning your once-sleepy workshop into a production line that has completely forgotten what labor laws are.
