Palworld Tower Bosses, in Order
Palworld 1.0 expands the tower boss lineup to nine encounters, ending with Zenara and Astralym at the World Tree.
The first eight bosses guard towers across Palpagos and Sunreach. Defeating them provides the Key Spheres required to reach Astralym, so skipping straight to the giant cosmic nightmare is unfortunately not an option.
Tower battles now have a five-minute time limit, so bringing the correct elemental counter is more important than ever.
| Order | Tower Boss | Level | Location | Type | Weakness |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Zoe and Grizzbolt | 10 | Windswept Hills | Electric | Ground |
| 2 | Lily and Lyleen | 20 | Crescent Moon Shore | Grass | Fire |
| 3 | Axel and Orserk | 30 | Mount Obsidian | Electric/Dragon | Ground and Ice |
| 4 | Marcus and Faleris | 40 | Dessicated Desert | Fire | Water |
| 5 | Victor and Shadowbeak | 50 | Astral Mountains | Dark | Dragon |
| 6 | Saya and Selyne | 60 | Sakurajima | Dark | Dragon |
| 7 | Bjorn and Bastigor | 70 | Feybreak | Ice | Fire |
| 8 | Auri and Shaolong | 68 | Sunreach | Water/Dragon | Electric and Ice |
| 9 | Zenara and Astralym | 80 | World Tree | Typeless | None |
You can challenge most towers in a different order, but following the boss levels provides the smoothest progression.
Zoe and Grizzbolt
Zoe and Grizzbolt are found near the starting area in Windswept Hills. Grizzbolt is an Electric Pal, making Ground Pals the best counter.
Use the arena pillars to block electrical attacks and keep dealing damage whenever Grizzbolt turns its attention toward your Pal.
Lily and Lyleen
Lily and Lyleen are now fought at Crescent Moon Shore. Lyleen uses Grass attacks and can recover health, so bring Fire Pals and focus on dealing damage quickly.
This is not the time for a slow and thoughtful strategy. The plant has healing powers and places to be.
Axel and Orserk
Axel and Orserk wait at Mount Obsidian. Equip heat-resistant armor before making the trip.
Orserk is an Electric and Dragon Pal, giving it weaknesses to both Ground and Ice attacks. Keep your distance from its close-range attacks and strike after it finishes larger abilities.
Marcus and Faleris
Marcus and Faleris are located in the Dessicated Desert. Faleris is a Fire Pal, so Water Pals provide the strongest elemental advantage.
Heat-resistant equipment is recommended during the day, while cold-resistant equipment may be needed if you travel through the desert at night.
Victor and Shadowbeak
Victor and Shadowbeak are found in the Astral Mountains. Bring cold-resistant armor and a strong team of Dragon Pals.
Shadowbeak has a large health pool and powerful Dark attacks. Strong ranged weapons can help you deal enough damage before the five-minute timer expires.
Saya and Selyne
Saya and Selyne guard the tower on Sakurajima. Selyne is another Dark Pal, allowing you to reuse many of the Dragon Pals prepared for Shadowbeak.
Watch for Selyne’s large beam attacks and recall your Pal when it cannot move out of the way in time.
Bjorn and Bastigor
Bjorn and Bastigor are located on Feybreak. Bastigor is an Ice Pal, making Fire Pals the clear choice for this battle.
The boss uses several heavy area attacks, so keep moving and avoid standing directly in front of it unless becoming a frozen floor decoration was part of the plan.
Auri and Shaolong
Auri and Shaolong are the final standard tower boss encounter and can be found in Sunreach.
The tower is protected by Sunreach’s defense systems, which must be disabled before you can enter. Shaolong uses Water and Dragon attacks, giving it weaknesses to Electric and Ice.
Defeating Auri and Shaolong also unlocks access to Hard Mode battles for the other tower bosses.
Zenara and Astralym
Zenara and Astralym are the final bosses of Palworld 1.0. They wait inside the World Tree after you have completed its story missions and collected the Key Spheres from the previous eight towers.
Astralym is Level 80 and completely typeless. It has no elemental weakness, so this battle depends on raw damage, upgraded equipment, powerful Awakened Pals, and your ability to dodge attacks that appear determined to erase you from the save file.
Reach Level 80 before entering, equip your strongest endgame armor, and bring your best weapons. This is Palworld’s final damage and survival check.
Can You Catch Astralym?
Astralym cannot currently be caught or obtained as a usable Pal. Defeating Zenara and Astralym adds Astralym to the Paldeck, but the Pal remains exclusive to the boss encounter.
You may defeat an enormous cosmic dragon but taking it home would apparently be unreasonable.
Conclusion
Palworld 1.0’s tower bosses now form a complete path from Zoe and Grizzbolt to Zenara and Astralym at the World Tree. Each fight becomes much easier with the correct elemental counter, upgraded gear, and enough ammunition to make your inventory nervous.
Work through the towers in level order, collect every Key Sphere, and prepare carefully before challenging Astralym. The final boss has no elemental weakness, so victory comes down to strong Pals, endgame equipment, and surviving five extremely rude minutes.
