How to Change Experience Gain on an Enshrouded Server
If your group is leveling too slowly, or flying through levels faster than you would like, Enshrouded lets you adjust experience gain from combat, mining, and exploration separately. This gives you control over progression without making every source of XP equally generous.
Change Experience Gain
Navigate to your Nodecraft dashboard.
Locate your Enshrouded server and click Manage.
Stop the server.
Click Game Settings in the menu on the left.
Select the Player tab.
If your server is not already using Custom difficulty, click Change Difficulty to Custom. Individual experience settings only apply while the server is using Custom difficulty.
Under Core Player, adjust Exploration Experience to the amount you want. The default value is 1, and values can range from 0.25 to 2. A value of 2 doubles exploration and quest XP, while 0.5 cuts it in half.
Click Submit to save the Player settings.
Select the Combat tab.
Under Combat & Equipment, adjust Combat Experience. The default value is 1, and values can range from 0.25 to 2.
Click Submit to save the Combat settings.
Select the Miscellaneous tab.
Under Resources, adjust Mining Experience. The default value is 1, and values can range from 0 to 2. Setting it to 0 disables XP from mining, while 2 doubles it.
Click Submit to save the Miscellaneous settings.
Start the server again.
How the Experience Settings Work
Each experience setting controls a different part of progression. Exploration Experience applies to exploring and completing quests, Combat Experience applies to XP earned through combat, and Mining Experience applies to XP earned while mining resources. Values above 1 increase XP gain, while values below 1 reduce it. You can change only one modifier or mix all three to create the progression pace you want.
