Enshrouded 1.0 gives mages nine new spell types, from Mana Drain and Entangle to elemental totems and a summonable skeleton. The update also expands spell progression and adds upgradeable Eternal spells. Your next mage build has a few more options than another fireball.

All Nine New Spells in Enshrouded 1.0

The nine new spells cover utility, crowd control, damage, and summons.

  • Mana Drain

  • Entangle

  • Pillar of Flames

  • Blizzard

  • Ball Lightning

  • Summon Fire Totem

  • Summon Ice Totem

  • Summon Shock Totem

  • Summon Hollow Skeleton

Mana Drain, Crowd Control, and Area Damage

Mana Drain transfers a fixed amount of mana per second from an enemy into your pool. Entangle adds another tool for dealing with tougher targets, while Blizzard and Ball Lightning provide area-of-effect options against groups.

Try bringing a mix of spells into an encounter rather than filling every slot with damage. A useful starting approach is to keep one option for controlling a difficult enemy and another for handling a crowd. Treat that as a loadout suggestion, then adjust it to your playstyle.

Totems and Summon Hollow Skeleton

The new summon spells include Fire, Ice, and Shock Totems, plus Summon Hollow Skeleton. Advanced Necromancy increases the number of skeletons you can summon, while Totem Mastery supports more totems. Finally, some backup that does not need a Discord reminder.

For a summon-focused build, review those skills before committing your points. Compare how each summon fits the fights you enjoy, and leave room to experiment instead of rebuilding around the first new spell you find.

Eternal Spells and Progression Changes

Every spell now has an Eternal version, with many unlocking at the highest progression tier. Eternal spells do not consume spell ammunition, and they can now be upgraded through crafting survivors’ upgrade services. Upgrade perks can include reduced mana cost.

The update also adds more tiers for existing spells, rebalances spells, and gives area-of-effect spells a ground-target cursor. Spell-charge availability has changed too: as a general rule, versatile spells appear as loot, while more specialized options come from crafting.

Check the version you actually have before planning a build around an older guide. Compare its tooltip and upgrade options, then test it in a familiar fight before taking it somewhere less forgiving.

Final Thoughts

Start with a few spells that cover different situations, then build around the combinations you enjoy using. If you are looking for the best Enshrouded server hosting service for your next co-op adventure, explore Nodecraft and bring your group along for the experiments.
