After more than two years in Early Access, Palworld is finally preparing to leave Early Access behind. During Summer Game Fest 2026, developer Pocketpair officially announced that Palworld version 1.0 will launch on July 10th, bringing the creature-collecting survival game to its full release milestone.
Since launcher in January 2024, Palworld has received a steady stream of updates that introduced new islands, additional Pals, raid battles, cross-play support, quality-of-life improvements, and even crossover content. Now, Pocketpair says the game is ready for its biggest update yet.

One of the biggest reveals is the World Tree itself. Players have been staring at the massive tree on the horizon since launch, and version 1.0 appears set to finally allow players to explore its mysteries firsthand.
Will Existing Saves Still Work?
Yes.
Pocketpair has confirmed that players will be able to continue using their existing save files after the update launchers. However, the developers have also suggested that starting a fresh playthrough may be the best way to experience all of the new content and gameplay changes included in version 1.0.
According to the developers, the update includes enough changes throughout the early, mid, and late game that veteran players may miss some of the intended progression experience if they continue from an older save.
