This brand new service gives server owners the option to get the same performance, support, and ease of setup for games servers they love, without paying for a server you may not use 24/7.
In a nutshell? Nodecraft Lite is a budget-friendly line of game servers that provides the same high performance & ease of use that Nodecraft is known for!
🤔 So what the heck is Wake & Play?
In a nutshell, a server with Wake & Play will go to sleep or hibernate when no one is using it. To wake the server back up, we give you a handy Share Link you can send to your friends, so anyone who plays on the server can wake the server when they want to play.
The hibernating server has a few benefits!
🍇 The server's ingame events won't progress without players in-game. Many games like ARK, Palworld, & Don't Starve may scale difficulty over time or creatures/players may die without being cared for.
🆕 The regular reboots are good for overall server performance and clearing out memory leaks.
💸 Not running when no one is using it allows us to lower our prices and provide a budget-friendly option, without sacrificing the kind of quality performance expected from Nodecraft servers.
🌿 It's more eco-friendly as this allows us to offer more servers to players on a reduced hardware and climate footprint.

We've spent the last few weeks in private Alpha testing with a selection of friends, family, & some of the most loyal Nodecraft server owners. These small-scale tests have gone extraordinarily well and we're ready to show everyone else!
All that's left is final scale testing to be sure this new product is ready for a full global launch, and that's where you come in. 👾 Which game work best with Nodecraft Lite?
Some games are more benefitted by Wake & Play functionality than others. For instance, your dinos in Ark won't eat through their food stores so you're coming back to a mass extinction after you've been offline for a week. That's nice, on top of the server being cheaper!
But on the flipside, there are a couple of known issues with other games-- Aloft's functionality of resetting their friend codes when you restart the server doesn't play nicely with a server being restarted, for instance-- So it requires a bit of a workaround for private servers. We'll work on improving it, but hey, that is part of what Betas are for. 😄

🍬 Are other features the same for Nodecraft Lite?
There are several differences between Nodecraft Pro servers and Nodecraft Lite beyond the Wake & Play feature-- But we've all played games and used services where the budget line is borderline unplayable. It was important to us that we make sure Nodecraft remains a quality provider above all else. None of the limitations on Nodecraft Lite should get in the way of your gameplay, but Nodecraft Pro features may enhance your server experience. Check out the full feature comparison here!
