The people behind the company
3.3+ GHz Processor
Our servers use a quad core Intel Xeon E3-1230 v2 or newer processor. New servers are deployed with E3-1231 v3s.
32GB ECC DDR3 RAM
Error correcting and highly clocked, this RAM is deployed for amazingly high speed performance.
Enterprise Grade Solid State Drives
We use Samsung 830 Pro series 240GB SSDs or better on our servers.
Enterprise Grade Hard Disk
We host our game servers on the SSD, but backups, the OS, and other non-essential files are run on standard disks.
1Gbps Uplink and DDoS Protected Network
DDoS attacks have are a constant threat to game servers. Our network is built for network attack reliance.
We've built our entire infrastructure on top of a linux ecosystem to focus on performance, security, and stability.
Why don't you offer servers with higher thread-count?
While other CPUs, such as the Intel Xeon Gold/E5 series certainly offer significantly more threads, they rarely offer the same level of performance by clock speed or IPC that we get with the E3 series. We've found that this particular CPU will give us a very predictable but high performance output at a much lower cost.
Why do you only have 32GB of ram on each node?
This question runs parallel to the previous, regarding our server's performance. While the amount of RAM on each machine has no effect on performance, our CPU thread availability is a very limiting factor. By limiting how much RAM and CPU threads we expect to use to a much lower number per machine, we can guarantee high performance servers.
How much DDoS protection do you provide?
Our datacenters have both external and internal packet scrubbing to protect against large scale attacks against each server.
Do you own or lease the hardware?
We lease our hardware from reputable brands that have much larger netops, hardware, and infrastructure teams than we currently do. We find this more advantageous given the fact that we operate in datacenters throughout the world. We've strictly banned budget brands that would impede stability or performance.
Do you provide dedicated IPs?
Yes, all of our services are issued a dedicated IP address that will only be used by one customer at a time.
Which Linux distribution are you using?
Each host machine runs a Debian based Linux distribution.
