# How to Upload a Single Player World to a Windrose Server

Want to keep your progress going on a server? This guide shows you how to move a single player Windrose world to your Nodecraft server.

Uploading a single player world to your Windrose server is a great way to keep your progress going without starting over from scratch. Instead of rebuilding everything on a fresh server, you can bring your existing world with you and continue playing with friends on your Nodecraft server. This guide will walk you through find your single player world, uploading it to your server, and making sure Windrose loads the correct world when you start it back up.

## Locating Single Player Files

Before uploading your world to your server, you will need to find the local save files on your computer. Windrose stores single player worlds inside your local app data folder, with each save organized by profile and game version. Once you find the correct world folder, you can upload it to your Nodecraft server.

1. On your computer, press **Windows + R** to open the Run menu.
2. Enter the following file path:

  %localappdata%\\R5\\Saved\\SaveProfiles
  And then click **OK**.
3. Open the folder for your Windrose profile.
4. Open the **RocksDB** folder.
5. Open the folder for the game version your world was created on.
6. Open the **Worlds** folder.
7. Find the folder for the single player world you want to upload. This is the world folder that you will need to upload to your Windrose server.

## Uploading the Files to the Server

Once you have found the correct world folder, the next step is uploading it to your Windrose server files. This moves your single player world into your server’s save directory so Windrose can load it when the server starts.

1. Navigate to your Nodecraft Dashboard.
2. Click the **Panel **button for your Minecraft server.
3. Locate and click **Game Settings** in the menu on the left side.
4. Click on the **Worlds **tab.
5. Click **Create New World**, then **Upload from Computer**.
6. Open the folder for the game version your server is running.
7. Open the **Worlds** folder.
8. Drag the folder from your computer into the File Manager.

## Loading the World

After the world files are uploaded, you will need to tell your Windrose server which world to load. This ensures the server starts with your uploaded single player world instead of creating or loading a different save.

1. Locate and click **Game Settings** in the menu on the left side.
2. Click on the **Worlds **tab.
3. Mouse over your uploaded world and click **Select**.
4. Start your server.

## Conclusion

With your single player world uploaded and selected, your Windrose server should now be ready to continue from your existing save. Start your server, join in, and make sure your world loads correctly. Once everything looks good, you can invite friends to explore, build, and keep progressing together from the world you already started.
