In this guide we are going to go over how you can set or change the server password for your WIndrose server. Setting a server password is a simple way to limit access so only players with the password can connect. In this guide, we’ll show you how to enable password protection and set or change your server password in the Nodecraft panel.

Setting/Changing the Password

Note: Be sure to fully Stop your Windrose server before making any configuration or setting changes!

  1. Open your Dashboard.

  2. Locate your Windrose server and click on the Panel button. 

  3. From the sidebar, navigate to the Game Settings tab.

  4. Once on the game settings page locate the Server Password section.

  5. Enable the Password Protection option.

  6. Once enabled, enter your desired password into the Server Password box.

  7. Once your desired password is set, click on submit.

    Submit button below the Max Players setting in the Nodecraft panel.

  8. Start your server. 

Conclusion

Your Windrose server password is now set and ready to use. Anyone joining the server will need that password to connect, so make sure to share it only with the players you want to have access.
