# How to Edit the Server Name on a Windrose Server

Learn how to change your Windrose server name so your server is easier to identify when using an invite code.

In this guide we are going to go over how you can change the name of your Windrose server. The server's name can be used to identify your server more easily!

## Editing the Server Name

**Note: Always make sure to fully stop your Windrose server before completing configuration or setting changes! **

1. Open your [Dashboard.](https://app.nodecraft.com/dashboard)
2. Locate your Windrose server and click on the **Panel **button.
3. From the sidebar, click on **Game Settings**.

4. Once on the game settings page, locate the **Server Name** section.

5. Once you enter you enter your new name, click **Submit**.

6. **Start** your server.
