# Configuring Your The Forest Server

How to locate and configure your The Forest Server settings. 

In this guide, we'll walk you through the two methods of configuring your server for The Forest. You can edit settings with these methods, such as your server's password, tree growth, vegan mode and much more!

## Using the Nodecraft Pro Panel

You can find the settings for your The Forest server in the **Game Settings** tab of your Nodecraft Pro panel. There are three subsections that the settings are divided into: Basic, Gamemode, and Advanced.

## Using the Config File

You can locate the `server.cfg` file in the **Server Files** of your panel. First, tick the box next to the file to select it, then click the** Edit** button to edit your `server.cfg` to make configuration changes to your The Forest server.
