# Terraria New Mounts, Pets, and Movement Options

Learn all about the new Terraria mounts, pets, and movement changes in the Bigger and Boulder update! 

This article covers the new mounts, pets, and movement-related additions coming to Terraria. These features expand traversal, add cosmetic companions, and introduce new ways to interact with the world without significantly changing progression or balance.

## Transformation Mounts

Terraria is adding several new **transformation-style mounts**. These mounts change the player into a creature form rather than placing them on a rideable vehicle, similar to existing transformation mounts in behavior.

Confirmed transformation mounts include:

- A velociraptor form

The velociraptor transformation can be dyed and visually reflects vanity items equipped in the head slot. When the player is airborne, the velociraptor is carried by a pterodactyl, enabling smooth transitions between ground and air.

## Movement Focused Mounts

A new **roller skate mount** has been added. This mount allows players to move quickly across flat surfaces and grind along Minecart Tracks. It emphasizes momentum-based horizontal movement rather than vertical mobility and works especially well in built environments.

## Kites and Environmental Movement

Kites now use a **stick-like item** that can be placed or held to attach and fly kites. This item is not a mount and does not transport the player, but it allows kites to be flown dynamically and used decoratively within builds.

## Remote and Utility Movement Items

An **RC Car** item allows players to remotely control a small vehicle. The RC Car can move across solid blocks and background walls but does not carry the player. It is intended for exploration, interaction, and novelty rather than travel speed.
