# Setting Up a Password and Connecting to your Staxel Server

Learn how to add a password and how to connect to your Staxel server hosted with Nodecraft!

To set a password for your server, go to the **Game Settings** tab in your Control Panel.

From there, find the box labelled **Server Password**, and input the password you want for your server. Then click **Save**.

In the **Overview** tab or your Control Panel, copy  the Dedicated IP Address. You will find it under **Server Information**.

Start your server and open Staxel. Click **Multiplayer**.

Paste your Dedicated IP Address into the field, and then input your server password, if you set one.

Click **Join Server** to finally join your Staxel server.
