#  How to Set an Admin Password on a StarRupture SErver

Set an admin password on your StarRupture server to control access to in-game admin functions and restrict who can manage your server.

This guide is going to cover how you can set up a admin password on your StarRupture server. The admin password will allow you or other intended users to be able to access admin functions for your server.

## Setting a Password

1. Open your [Dashboard](https://app.nodecraft.com/dashboard)
2. Locate your StarRupture server and click on the **Panel **button.
3. Once on your StarRupture Panel, click on **Game Settings.**

4. Once on the Game Settings page, locate the **Management Password** section, and click on the **Show** button.

5. Once shown, you should see that there is **no password set**. Click on **Set Password.**

6. Enter your new password, then click **Set**.

7. Start/restart your server
