# How to Become an Admin on Your Soulmask Server

Learn how to access Admin commands for a Soulmask dedicated server.

Becoming an admin on your Soulmask server gives you access to a variety of powerful commands to manage your server and gameplay. Follow the steps below to use admin commands.

## Set an Admin Password

Before you can use admin commands, you must configure an admin password for your game server. Follow these steps to configure it:

1. Open the Nodecraft Pro Panel for your Soulmask game server.
2. Navigate to the **Game Settings** tab.
3. Find the **Admin Password** field.
4. Enter your desired password.
5. Click Submit to save your changes.

Once the admin password is set, you can access the in-game admin menu and start using admin commands.

## Admin Commands

Soulmask offers a wide range of admin commands to manage your server. To use these commands, you first need to access the in-game console.

### Accessing the Console

The console is a black bar at the bottom of your screen where you can type commands. To open the console:

- Press the **grave/tilde key** (\`) or
- Press the **minus key** on the number pad (-).

If neither of these keys works, it may be due to your keyboard's configuration or locale.

### Gaining Admin Access

Once the console is open, enter the following command, replacing `password` with your server’s admin password:

```
gm key password
```

If the command is entered correctly, the admin menu will open. You now have admin privileges and can run admin commands until you either log out of the server or press the “Away from Admin” button in the admin menu.

### Using the Admin Menu

The admin menu offers several useful features, such as managing players, adjusting server settings, and more. However, for more advanced control, you can enter additional commands directly into the console.
