# How to Obtain a RedM License Key

Need a RedM registration key? Learn how to generate and obtain your key to get your server up and running.

Hosting a RedM server requires a valid **Registration key**, which links your server to the **Cfx.re** platform. Generating this key is a quick process that ensures your server is properly authenticated and ready to go. This guide will walk you through logging into the Cfx.re portal and creating a license key for your server.

**Prerequisites:**

- A registered [Cfx.re](http://cfx.re) account
- Access to the [Cfx.re portal](https://portal.cfx.re/login)

## Access the [Cfx.re](http://cfx.re) Portal

1. Navigate to the [Cfx.re](http://cfx.re) Login Page located here: [https://portal.cfx.re/login](https://portal.cfx.re/login).

2. Click the **Sign In With ****[Cfx.re](http://cfx.re)** button. If you don't have an account, click the **Sign Up** option.
3. From the [Cfx.re](http://cfx.re) dashboard, click the **Create a Key** option within the Quick Links section.

### Generate a New Registration Key

1. To create a new key, click the **Generate Key** button.
2. In the pop-up window, enter a **Display Name** for your server. This will help you identify the key later.
3. Click the **Generate **button when you're finished.

4. Once the key is successfully generated, you'll see it listed on the Server Registration Keys page.
5. Click the **Copy button** under Actions to copy the key for later.

## Apply the Registration Key

1. Navigate to the control panel for your Nodecraft FiveM server.
2. Click on **Game Settings** on the left-hand toolbar.

4. Click **Submit **to save your changes.
