# How to Upload an Existing World to your Necesse Server

Learn how to upload an existing world from your own computer to a Nodecraft Necesse dedicated server.

Do you have an existing Necesse world you want to use on our dedicated server? This guide will explain where to find your world save on your local PC and where that folder needs to be uploaded on your dedicated server.

1. On your own PC, locate the world in  `%appdata%\Necesse\saves\worlds`; it will be a `.zip`  archive with your world name, such as `my-new-world.zip` .

  **Note**: The `AppData` folder is typically hidden in Windows. You can enable Show hidden files, folders, and drives by adjusting your File Explorer settings or press Windows + R and type the following: `%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Necesse\saves\worlds` to access the folder directly.
2. In your Nodecraft server control panel, go to the **File Manager** and navigate to `/data/saves/worlds`

3. **Upload** the zip of the world you wish to use here. In this example, this is `my-new-world.zip`.
4. Change the **world** configuration option to the name of your zip file in your control panel, in this case `my-new-world` and **restart **the server.
