# Joining an Enshrouded Server

Learn how to find and join your Nodecraft hosted Enshrouded server!

Joining an Enshrouded server through Steam can be straightforward, especially when you know the steps involved. This guide will walk you through each step, ensuring you can connect to your desired server without issues.

## Step 1: Gather Server Information

Before you can join a server, you'll need the IP address and the game server port, which are provided on your server overview page.

> Note: You will need to add +1 to the game server port when entering it in Steam.

Here’s an example of the server information you might see:

- **IP Address**: `169.150.XX.XX`
- **Game Server Port**: `15636`

When adding this server to Steam, you'll use `169.150.XX.XX:15637` (adding 1 to the port number).

## Step 2: Open Steam and Access the Server Browser

1. Launch Steam on your computer.
2. Navigate to the **View** menu at the top-left of the Steam window.
3. Select **Servers** from the drop-down menu. This will open the Steam server browser.

## Step 3: Add the Server to Your Favorites

1. In the **Favorites** tab, click on the **Add a Server** button at the bottom-right of the window.

2. Enter the server's IP address in the pop-up window, followed by the adjusted port number. For example, `169.150.XX.XX:15637`.
3. Click **OK** to add the server to your list.

## Step 4: Join Server

1. After adding the server, it should appear in your **Favorites** list.

2. Click on the server name and then the **Connect** button at the bottom-right corner.

You should now be connected to the Enshrouded server.

## Troubleshooting Tips

- **Server Not Appearing**: If the server does not appear after adding it, ensure you have correctly adjusted the port by adding +1.
- **Connection Issues**: If you experience issues connecting, double-check the IP address and port number for any typos.
- **Server Full**: If the server is full, you must wait until a slot becomes available.
