# How to Install Mods to Your Core Keeper Server

Learn how to enhance your Core Keeper experience by adding mods to your server.

Core Keeper is a popular sandbox adventure game that lets players explore a vast underground world while collecting resources. Modding the game can introduce new features, items, enemies, and gameplay elements. This guide will walk you through how to get started with modding your Core Keeper game server.

**Note:** We recommend to fully stop your Core Keeper server before making any file changes.

## Find and Download Mods

To get started, find the mods you want to install on your server by visiting the official mod site [here](https://mod.io/g/corekeeper). Once you’ve chosen the mods you want to use, download the mod files to your computer.

## Installing Mods to Your Core Keeper Server

1. Open the Nodecraft Pro Panel for your Core Keeper game server.
2. Navigate to the **Server Files** tab and navigate to the following directory:`/CoreKeeperServer_Data/StreamingAssets/Mods`

4. Upload the mod files into the corresponding folders. If the mod files are compressed (e.g., .zip or .rar), make sure to unzip them.

5. Your directory should now resemble the following image example, with each mod's files stored in its corresponding folder.

### Verify the Mod Installation

After your Core Keeper server restarts, connect to it and check if the mods are working. For example, if you installed the *[Enemy Health Bars](https://mod.io/g/corekeeper/m/healthbars)* mod, you should see health bars appear when striking an enemy in the game.

### Additional Tips for Modding Your Core Keeper Server

- **Check the Mods Documentation:** If you're having trouble with a specific mod, refer to its documentation for detailed instructions on the installation or configuration.
- **Configuration Files:** Some mods may require additional configuration. Any config files for mods will typically be found in the following directory: /DedicatedServer/mods
- **Keep Mods Up to Date:** Ensure that your mods are updated to their latest versions to maintain compatibility with the most recent version of Core Keeper.
