# How to Reset the World on Your Astroneer Server

How to change your Astroneer existing save and how to delete a save from your server. 

Looking to start fresh on your Astroneer dedicated server? In this guide we’re going to show you how you can reset your Astroneer Server. You can either choose to delete your entire world or you can simply create a new one. Resetting your server world can give you a clean slate to explore new planets and build new adventures! So, let's get started.

**Note:** We recommend fully stopping your Astroneer server before making any configuration or setting changes.

### Changing the Server World in the Server Files

1. Log into the Nodecraft Pro Panel for your Astroneer server.
2. Click on **Server Files** on the left-hand side.
3. Navigate to the following directory: `/Astro/Saved/Config/WindowsServer`
4. Locate the `AstroServerSettings.ini` config file.

5. Enter the desired new save name into the `ActiveSaveFileDescriptiveName` field.
6. Click **Save**.

7. **Start** your Astroneer Server.

### Changing the Server World in the Game Settings

1. Log into the Nodecraft Pro Panel for your Astroneer server.
2. Click on the **Game Setting** tab on the left-hand side.
3. Enter a new save name into the **Active Save File** box.

4. Click** Submit**.
5. **Start** your Astroneer Server.

Now you know how to reset or change your world on your Astroneer server! If you would like to delete your current or previous saved worlds, continue with the steps below.

### Deleting Your Saved World

**Note:** This will permanently delete your world(s). We recommend taking a backup!

1. Locate the **Server Files** in the Nodecraft Pro Panel.
2. Navigate to the `SaveGames` folder in the following directory: `/Astro/Saved/SaveGames`
3. Select the `.savegame` file that you would like to delete and then select **Delete**.

4. **Start** your Astroneer Server.
