# How to Change Enemy Difficulty on Your Abiotic Factor Server

This guide walks you through the steps to modify enemy difficulty to best suit your gameplay style.

**Note: Be sure that your Abiotic Factor server is fully stopped before making any configuration changes or setting updates!**

## Using the Control Panel

1. Navigate to your Abiotic Factor server’s **dashboard**.
2. Locate and click the **Game Settings** option on the left side of your dashboard.
3. Click the **World** tab.

5. Make your change as desired.

  **Note: Additional settings you can adjust will be in the ****Enemy**** tab of the panel. Make your desired changes to fine-tune your experience.**
6. Click the **Submit** button to save your changes.
7. **Start** your server.

1. Navigate to your Abiotic Factor server's **dashboard**.
2. Locate and click the **Server Files** option on the left side of your dashboard.
3. Navigate to the following folder directory: `/AbioticFactor/Saved/SandboxSettings.ini`

5. Locate and change the following settings based on your desired difficulty of play:

| Setting | Description | Accepted Values |
| --- | --- | --- |
| GameDifficulty | Difficulty will determine (for all players) how many enemies may be present in some areas, how aggressive they are, and how fast they react in combat | 1 - Normal 2 - Hard 3 - Apocalyptic |
| EnemySpawnRate | This value determines how frequently enemies respawn | Default Value: 1.0 Minimum Value: 0.5 Maximum Value: 3 |
| EnemyHealthMultiplier | This is a multiplier of enemy health | Default Value: 1.0 Minimum Value: 0.75 Maximum Value: 3.0 |
| EnemyPlayerDamageMultiplier | This value will determine how damaging enemies are, as a multiplier of their damage | Default Value: 1.0 Minimum Value: 0.25 Maximum Value: 3.0 |
| EnemyDeployableDamageMultiplier | This value will determine how much damage enemies do to deployables, as a multiplier of their damage | Default Value: 1.0 Minimum Value: 0.1 Maximum Value: 5.0 |
| DetectionSpeedMultiplier | This multiplier will determine how fast enemies detect players | Default Value: 1.0 Minimum Value: 0.1 Maximum Value: 3.0 |

6. **Save** your changes.

7. **Start** your server.
