# How to Become Admin on Your Abiotic Factor Server

Giving yourself Admin powers is a simple process for Abiotic Factor servers. This guide will walk you through the different methods.

**Note: Be sure that your Abiotic Factor server is fully stopped before making any configuration changes or setting updates!**

## Using the Control Panel

1. Locate your Steam64 ID with a tool like: [https://steamid.io/](https://steamid.io)
2. Navigate to the **Server Files** page on the left-hand side of your panel.
3. In the file manager, navigate to the directory:  `/AbioticFactor/Saved/Config/WindowsServer`
4. Open **Admin.ini **or **Create it** and locate/add the `[Moderators]` section.
5. Under it, add the line `Moderator=` with your Steam64 ID in the format:

6. **Save** the file and start the server back up.
7. **Join** the server, press `ESC`, and verify that the **Admin** menu is accessible.

  **Note: If the Admin menu doesn't appear, ensure only one **`Admin.ini`** exists and contains the correct 17‑digit Steam64 IDs.**
