New Pals Spotted in Palworld 1.0!

Palworld’s long-awaited 1.0 launch is finally on the horizon, and Pocketpair used the game’s cinematic release date trailer to give players their first look at several brand new Pals arriving alongside the massive update on July 10th. The trailer offered only brief glimpses of many of these creatures, but there is already plenty for fans to analyze.

According to Pocketpair, version 1.0 will introduce more new Pals than any previous update in the game’s history, making it one of the largest roster expansions since Palworld entered Early Access.

While most of the newcomers remain unnamed for now, the trailer showcased a wide variety of designs ranging from adorable companions to massive creatures that appear capable of taking on legendary boss encounters.

The Bamboo Warrior Pal

A new panda-like Pal showcased in the Palworld 1.0 trailer standing alongside a player character, appearing ready for combat with a martial arts-inspired design.

One of the first new creatures shown in the Palworld 1.0 trailer is a panda inspired Pal that appears ready to throw hands. During one of the trailer’s combat sequences, this new Pal is shown launching a powerful uppercut that sends the much larger opponent reeling backward. It’s a brief moment, but it immediately establishes this newcomer as a serious combatant rather than a simple utility Pal.

The Armored Firewing Pal

A heavily armored winged Pal featured in the Palworld 1.0 trailer, displaying metallic wings with glowing orange markings while preparing to attack.

One of the most intimidating creatures shown in the trailer is a massive winged Pal that appears to combine insect-like features with heavy armor plating. During its brief appearance, the creature unleashes a fiery attack directly from its wings, suggesting it could be a powerful Fire-type or possibly a Fire/Dark hybrid.

Its design stands out from many existing flying Pals thanks to its metallic appearance and glowing orange markings spread across its enormous wings. The creature’s aggressive stance and apparent ranged attacks hint that it could become a strong combat-focused Pal rather than a utility or base worker.

The Sky Dragon

A massive dragon-like Pal soaring above the new Sky Islands during a storm, surrounded by lightning and dark clouds.

Perhaps the most imposing creature shown during the trailer is a colossal dragon-like Pal that appears to rule the newly revealed Sky Islands. Towering above the landscape and surrounded by crackling lightning, the creature is presented as one of the central threats players will encounter during the update’s new content.

Unlike many of the other new Pals shown throughout the trailer, the Sky Dragon receives significant screen time and is featured directly fighting the player. This strongly suggests it will play a major role in the new storyline surrounding the Sky Islands and the World Tree.

The Living Sword (Fish) Pal

A player character wielding a large futuristic blade fish while facing an unseen threat during a nighttime battle sequence in the Palworld 1.0 trailer.

One of the most eye-catching reveals appears to be a Pal capable of transforming into a sword. While Pocketpair has not revealed its name of abilities, the trailer briefly showed the creature becoming a weapon during combat.

If the final implementation works as shown, this could introduce one of the most unique Partner Skills in the game and further expand the ways players interact with their Pals during battles.

The World Tree Guardian

The World Tree illuminated with blue energy as a colossal guardian-like creature looms behind it, one of the major reveals from the Palworld 1.0 announcement trailer.

The trailer also featured a massive airborne creature soaring above the landscape. Its mythic appearance suggests it could be tied to the World Tree storyline that has been teased since Palworld’s original launch.

Whether this creature is a catchable Pal, a raid boss, or a story encounter remains unknown, but it was easily one of the most impressive reveals in the trailer.

Final Thoughts

If the trailer is any indication, Palworld 1.0 is shaping up to be the game’s biggest update yet. Between the promise of more new Pals than any previous update, entirely new regions, and long-awaited story developments surrounding the World Tree, players will have plenty of reasons to return to Palpagos on July 10th.

Pocketpair is still keeping many of the new creatures under wraps, but the few shown so far already suggest that Palworld’s roster is about to get a lot bigger.
